The Manhattan Opera Studio will be holding auditions for the 2020 Summer Festival.

The MOS Summer Festival is the first Summer Program of its kind in Manhattan. All the selected singers will have the opportunity to perform a fully staged opera with orchestra. Selected singers will participate in an aria and opera scenes concert at Carnegie Hall, masterclasses with some of the most prestigious agents of New York City, feedback auditions with conductors of the Metropolitan Opera House, and coachings in music and diction.


The 2020 Summer Festival Sessions

Session 1: June 1st -July 1st


Casting all roles for the following operas:

Suor Angelica by G. Puccini

Hansel and Gretel by E. Humperdinck

The Magic Flute by W. A. Mozart


Program Location and Dates

The MOS 2020 Summer Festival will take place at The National Opera Center (330 7th avenue, New York, NY) on the indicated dates.



Candidates for the 2020 MOS Summer Festival must send a headshot and a resume to and submit the non-refundable application fee. Please indicate what roles and operas you are interested in performing as well as the session in which you will be available.

Age limit: 36 years old  

The MOS summer festival is open to singers of all nationalities.

Applicants who cannot come to New York City for a live audition will be requested to send a video with two contrasting arias.


Audition Dates 

All auditions will be held at the McKay Hall of The National Opera Center (330 7th Avenue, New York, NY).

Manhattan Opera Studio will provide an accompanist. You may bring your own accompanist if you prefer to do so.

Audition Fee: 35 Dollars (Early bird by 11/10/19 28 Dollars)


$2,950 The tuition includes all the courses and activities of the 2020 MOS Summer Festival.
