SUMMER FESTIVAL 2027
The Manhattan Opera Studio is holding auditions for the 2027 Summer Festival.
The MOS Summer Festival is the first Summer Program of its kind in Manhattan. We believe that besides the vocal training and education opera singers receive through vocal instructors and academic education, practice and exposure to active professionals are necessary components of their development.
We are proud and very excited to see many of our past participants singing in prestigious opera houses (Metropolitan Opera House and Teatro Alla Scala, among many others) and winning some of the most important vocal competitions.
The Summer Festival is an intensive training and performance preparation program in which all the selected singers will have the opportunity to perform a fully staged opera with an orchestra. In addition, all singers will participate in an aria and opera scenes concert in the prestigious Bruno Walter Hall at Lincoln Center. There will be masterclasses with some of the most renowned opera agents of New York City, feedback auditions with conductors of the Metropolitan Opera House, and coachings in music and diction.

Suor Angelica by G. Puccini
Hansel and Gretel by E. Humperdinck
The Marriage of Figaro by W.A. Mozart
The Magic Flute by W.A. Mozart
Program Location
The MOS 2027 Summer Festival will take place at The National Opera Center in New York City
Requirements
Candidates for the 2027 MOS Summer Festival should send a headshot and a resume to coordinator@manhattanoperastudio.org and submit the non-refundable application fee. Please indicate what roles and operas you are applying for. If an applicant is not given an opportunity to audition, MOS will reimburse the application fee.
Age limit: 43 years old
The MOS summer festival is open to singers of all nationalities.
Applicants who cannot come to New York City for a live audition will be requested to send two videos of two contrasting arias.
Audition Dates
All auditions will be held at The National Opera Center (330 7th Avenue, New York, NY).

Manhattan Opera Studio will provide an accompanist. You may bring your own accompanist if you prefer to do so.

Audition Fee: 35 Dollars
Tuition
$3,650 The tuition includes participation in all the courses and activities of the 2027 MOS Summer Festival.
